CESUN 2010 - "City-Regions in the Southern Cultural Zone"


Central European Studies Summer University

 

The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pécs, in co-operation with the Society for the Science of History, Pécs, will host the next edition of the Central European Studies Summer University, which will take place in the City of Pécs, European Capital of Culture 2010, between 16 and 25 July 2010. This year the central topic of the summer school is "City-Regions in the Southern Cultural Zone".

... Inclusion of the entire society, co-operation with local society, civic organisations and economic enterprises

The event can be attended by anyone interested in the above-mentioned theme, as well as in the history and current transformation processes of the region of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and/or in Hungary. If you would like to apply for the CESUN 2010 Summer University, please, send

Early-bird applicants are encouraged until 1 April 2010!

Registration fee: 80€ (non-refundable)
Tuition fee: 255 €
Early-bird fee: 225€

The tuition fee includes full participation in the lectures and workshops, the field trips and cultural programmes. It also contains accommodation in a dormitory and two hot meals a day (breakfast not included).

The summer school is connected to the 14th International Culture Week in Pécs (ICWiP2010), one of the most known student programmes of the region in the summer. Students can combine their participation in the two events. If you want to spend an unforgettable 2 weeks in one of the European Capitals of Culture 2010, we encourage you to apply for both events!
